At East Coast Cerakote LLC, we are a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL). We strictly adhere to all federal, state, and local laws regarding the shipping and transfer of firearms and firearm components. Below is our official shipping policy.
Firearm Shipping – Legal Compliance
- All firearms must be shipped to a valid FFL holder.
We do not ship firearms directly to individuals. You must provide a copy of the receiving FFL’s license before we can ship. - Buyer is responsible for knowing and following all local and state laws before placing an order. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse orders that are not compliant with federal, state, or local restrictions.
- We do not ship firearms or firearm-related items to jurisdictions where they are prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, certain parts of California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Washington, D.C.
- Age restrictions apply. By purchasing a firearm or regulated item, you confirm that you are legally eligible to own it and meet the age requirement in your state.
Firearm Parts and Accessories
- Items such as slides, barrels, and frames that are not classified as firearms under federal law may be shipped directly to the purchaser, unless otherwise restricted by state or local law.
- Serialized items such as receivers or pistols must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer.
Shipping Process
- For Incoming Firearms:
Customers sending firearms to us for Cerakote or other services must ship from themselves or through their local FFL (depending on your state law). A copy of your government-issued photo ID or FFL is required in the box. - For Outgoing Firearms:
All completed firearms or serialized components will be returned to the customer’s FFL of choice. We must receive a valid FFL copy before shipping. - Shipping Carriers:
- Handguns must be shipped via UPS or FedEx 2nd Day Air or faster (as required by carriers).
- Long guns may be shipped via ground.
- We do not ship firearms through USPS unless permitted by law (FFL to FFL only).
Responsibility & Liability
- East Coast Cerakote LLC is not responsible for any firearm or component once it leaves our facility. All shipments are insured upon request at the customer’s expense.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their firearm or parts are legal to own and ship to their location.
